Vulnerable Children Society was started by 6 women, all joined by a common love and sense of responsibility for children in Africa. Some of the women have children adopted from Ethiopia and Swaziland. Two women are of Morroccan and Ethiopian heritage themselves.
Some of these founding board members were long-time supporters of Faya Orphanage, in Adama, Ethiopia. When the Canadian fundraising organzation for the orphanage, Faya Fund Corp., closed its doors, they saw an opportunity to continue the good work that had been started by Ethiopians and supported by Canadians. Based on trust and solid relationships with the directors of Faya Orphanage, Vulnerable Children Society entered into its first partnership.
Currently, Vulnerable Children Society is a registered Canadian Charity (#810826917RR0001 ). We do work primarily in Ethiopia, in collarboration with Faya Orphanage, Canadian Humanitarian and other wonderful partner organizations.
Child by child, family by family, we hope to make the world a safe and joyful place for some of the world’s most vulnerable children.
