St. Mary’s Catholic School, in Cranbrook, BC, held a bake sale last week, hosted by grades two and four. It was an excellent day for selling cupcakes, cookies and squares. The temperature was -30 and everyone was forced to stay inside for recess and lunch. This left plenty of time to browse the tables and buy as many treats as you could!
All the proceeds were to go to Vulnerable Children Society and the goal was to raise around $250. Amazingly the sale proceeds totalled $336 and a wonderful, anonymous donor rounded up the total to $700!! Mrs. Quinn’s grade two’s and Mrs. Merz’ grade fours are very happy to pass on the cheque to the Vulnerable Children’s Society and hope that it can help many children at Faya Orphanage.
