Ethiopia is a stunning country located within the Horn of Africa. With the Great Rift Valley intersecting it, the Semien Mountains to the North, and lush, jungle-like farms to the South, Ethiopia is a geographically diverse country bursting with breath-taking scenery. In harmony with her surroundings, are Ethiopia’s people. Hard-working and resilient, the people of Ethiopia are a great part of what makes this amazing country so special.
Ethiopia is the only country on the African continent to avoid colonization, and maintain her sovereignty as an independent country, a feat that many Ethiopians are extremely proud of. Because of this, their rich culture and heritage has been preserved and maintained in a manner which is unique to Ethiopia.
Ethiopia has more UNESCO world heritage sites than any other country in Africa, including the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, the ancient city of Aksum, and the walled city of Harar. Ethiopia is considered to be the cradle of humanity, with some of the oldest modern human remains found there. Ethiopia is just bursting with ancient history.
Whether it be the people, the history, or the scenery, Ethiopia is such a special place, and for so many reasons it is an honour to be a part of it.
